#171 new Enhancement

Indicator Profile Set Reports Definition Admin Interface

Description

Build an admin interface that produces a PHOM selection type XML config file. This interface would provide for static content pages and indicator profile lists. The IP list would have a selection list along with the sort order for that IP to appear. The view app would still need to be hand maintained as the navigation, xslt page layouts etc. would be allot to automate in an admin interface.

Just want to put in a plug for this one. Since the launch of our Community Snapshots, I've been having indicator owners request new views by LHD, and it's getting pretty complicated to keep track of which graph views to include where in all of the different xml files. Being able to monitor this just within the DB itself would be very helpful. :-)

I was looking at this from a distinctly different point of view than Kim, so maybe I don't understand the proposal. We have programs that would like to present custom sets of indicators (e.g., Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity) that would benefit greatly from being able to include front matter. In fact, even the "standard" indicator categories (Healthy People, EPHT, etc.) would greatly benefit from having some kind of customized introduction (particularly if hyperlinks could be accommodated!).

Another related enhancement is the "Health Topic" where you have a higher container of related indicators. The thought was to keep an indicator as a dataset definition - e.g. numerator and denominator but have something with appropriate meta data for a topic. We could easily have a general field that could contain HTML so links and anything else. It could also be done like a set report that has an XML HTML_CONTENT page(s) that provides the same type of info - like UT's PHOM report.
