Due to resource issues, however, adults with limited personal access to phone service or limited command of either English or Spanish are not represented.  As with all surveys, some error results from nonresponse (e.g., refusal to participate in the survey or to answer specific questions), and faulty measurement (e.g., responses affected by social desirability or recall error). Data collection procedures intended to minimize such errors include the use of strict calling protocols, good questionnaire design, standardization of interviewer behavior, interviewer training, and frequent, on-site interviewer monitoring and supervision.  Statistical weighting procedures are also used to minimize the potential impact of disproportionate representation of demographic subgroups defined in terms of age, sex, race, ethnicity, education level, marital status, home ownership, and county of residence.  (See also [[a href="query/BRFSSQueryTechNotes.html" Behavioral Risk Factor Survey Data Description and Technical Notes]].)</DATA_ISSUES><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/chs/njbrfs/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/10/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>Birth</NAME><TITLE>Birth Certificate Database, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Birth Certificate Database, Office of Vital Statistics and Registry, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.state.nj.us/health/vital/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>CDRSS</NAME><TITLE>Communicable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System (CRDSS), New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Communicable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System (CRDSS), Communicable Disease Service, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>http://www.nj.gov/health/cd/reporting/cdrss/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>CEOHS</NAME><TITLE>Consumer, Environmental and Occupational Health Service; New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Consumer, Environmental and Occupational Health Service; New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/ceohs/index.shtml</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>Death</NAME><TITLE>Death Certificate Database, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Death Certificate Database, Office of Vital Statistics and Registry, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.state.nj.us/health/vital/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>EEOH</NAME><TITLE>Division of Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health; New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Division of Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/ceohs/index.shtml</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>EIS_SCHEIS</NAME><TITLE>Early Identification and Monitoring Program, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>[https://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/eis/ Early Identification and Monitoring Program], Division of Family Health Services, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/eis/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>08/31/2022</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>Fetal_InfDeath</NAME><TITLE>Fetal Death Certificate Database and Linked Infant Death-Birth Database, NJ Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Fetal Death Certificate Database, Office of Vital Statistics and Registry, New Jersey Department of Health; Linked Infant Death-Birth Database, Center for Health Statistics, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/vital/; https://www.nj.gov/health/chs/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>FetalDeath</NAME><TITLE>Fetal Death Certificate Database, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Fetal Death Certificate Database, Office of Vital Statistics and Registry, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><DATA_ISSUES>New Jersey law requires the reporting of all fetal deaths of 20 or more weeks gestational age. 4While interjurisdictional exchange of vital records is required for births and deaths, it is voluntary for fetal deaths. In the early 2000s, New Jersey stopped receiving fetal death records for New Jersey residents who experienced a fetal death out of state. With the publication of fetal death data on CDC WONDER in 2018, an accurate count of resident fetal deaths was available for the first time in nearly 15 years and our data files were updated accordingly.</DATA_ISSUES><URL>https://www.state.nj.us/health/vital/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>Hippocrates</NAME><TITLE>Situational Awareness Network Software, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Situational Awareness Network Software, [https://www.nj.gov/health/er/ Office of Emergency Preparedness], New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/er/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>08/31/2022</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>HIV</NAME><TITLE>Division of HIV/AIDS, STD, and TB Services; New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Division of HIV/AIDS, STD, and TB Services; New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>http://nj.gov/health/hivstdtb/hiv-aids/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/03/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>InfantDeath</NAME><TITLE>Linked Infant Death-Birth Database, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Linked Infant Death-Birth Database, Center for Health Statistics, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/chs/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>LeadTrax</NAME><TITLE>LeadTrax, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>LeadTrax, [https://www.nj.gov/health/lh/ Office of Local Public Health], New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/lh/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>01/17/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>LINCS</NAME><TITLE>Local Information Network and Communications System (NJLINCS), New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>[https://www.njlincs.net/default.aspx New Jersey Local Information Network and Communications System] (NJLINCS) Health Alert Network, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.njlincs.net/default.aspx</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>08/31/2022</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>NJBRFS</NAME><TITLE>Behavioral Risk Factor Survey (NJBRFS), New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Behavioral Risk Factor Survey, Center for Health Statistics, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><DATA_ISSUES>Data from the New Jersey Behavioral Risk Factor Survey and Asthma Callback Supplement are intended to be representative of all non-institutionalized adult residents of New Jersey. A decrease in cases may also be a result of the implementation of an electronic reporting system which more efficiently collects and de-duplicates reported lead cases.</DATA_ISSUES><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/workplacehealthandsafety/occupational-health-surveillance/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>08/31/2022</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>OLPH</NAME><TITLE>Office of Local Public Health, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>[http://www.nj.gov/health/lh/ Office of Local Public Health], New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>http://www.nj.gov/health/lh/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>08/31/2022</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>PRAMS</NAME><TITLE>Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS), New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System, Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology, Division of Family Health Services, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/maternalchild/mchepi/prams/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/01/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>STD</NAME><TITLE>Sexually Transmitted Disease Program, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Sexually Transmitted Disease Program, Division of HIV/AIDS, STD and TB Services, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>http://www.nj.gov/health/hivstdtb/stds/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/10/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>TIMS</NAME><TITLE>Tuberculosis Information Management System (TIMS), New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Tuberculosis Information Management System (TIMS),  [http://www.nj.gov/health/hivstdtb/tb/ Tuberculosis Control Program], Division of HIV, STD, and TB Services, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>http://www.nj.gov/health/hivstdtb/tb/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>01/17/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>UB</NAME><TITLE>Hospital Discharge Data Collection System (NJDDCS), New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Hospital Discharge Data Collection System (NJDDCS), Health Care Quality and Assessment, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>https://nj.gov/health/healthcarequality/health-care-professionals/njddcs/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>02/06/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>WIC</NAME><TITLE>Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program; New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>[http://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/wic/index.shtml Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program], Division of Family Health Services, New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>http://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/wic/index.shtml</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>08/31/2022</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>YTS</NAME><TITLE>Youth Tobacco Survey, New Jersey Department of Health</TITLE><TEXT>Youth Tobacco Survey, [http://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/tobacco/ Office of Tobacco Control], New Jersey Department of Health</TEXT><URL>http://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/tobacco/</URL><SORT_ORDER>1</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>01/17/2023</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>DEP_Air</NAME><TITLE>Bureau of Air Monitoring, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection</TITLE><TEXT>Bureau of Air Monitoring, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection</TEXT><SORT_ORDER>2</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE></MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>DEP_AIR_EPA</NAME><TITLE>Bureau of Air Monitoring, NJ Department of Environmental Protection and U.S. EPA</TITLE><DATA_ISSUES>Data Source: USEPA National-scale Air Toxics Assessment (NATA), 2017 and NJDEP Division of Air Quality</DATA_ISSUES><URL>https://www.epa.gov/</URL><SORT_ORDER>2</SORT_ORDER><MODIFIED_DATE>12/19/2022</MODIFIED_DATE></DATA_SOURCE><DATA_SOURCE><NAME>DEP_Climate</NAME><TITLE>Climate and Flood Resilience Program, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection</TITLE><TEXT>Climate and Flood Resilience Program, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection</TEXT><DATA_ISSUES>It should be noted that some uncertainty exists in estimates of population demographics, and the uncertainty in the calculation and depiction of coastal flood hazards.
